Latest rumor out of the 4th floor is that management is upset with how some pilots are conducting themselves online and that an updated social media policy is imminent as well

Wow.. I understand the reason for preventing campaigning in the lounge, but you are telling me you can't have a table set up, staffed by volunteers, some former Alpa volunteers, same clothes, passing out literature only if asked.... And that is frowned upon by the 44 reps and admin? What if it was a current P2P guy that happened to have a different take on the facts? I guess he would be kicked out as well....

Sure is a fine line there...

It must be just the ATL reps. In DTW all the literature from all the bases plus the NN's are on the same table.

Yes, but why feel the need to pass anything out at all? Seriously, do you think that your fellow co workers are so ignorant and stupid they can't figure anything out for themselves? Do they need your guiding light to help them through the process?

There is information EVERYWHERE. Pro, Con, from the union, not from the union, online, offline, etc. Y'all actually sound like a bunch of control freaks to me. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Considering the situation, I think the majority of us have shown admirable restraint. I know I have been very conscious of where the line is drawn.

On the other hand, we do have a right to freedom of speech. It's that inconvenient constitutional thingy.

Keep in mind that Delta is watching EVERYTHING we coin on here. But, in this case, they are probably upset with what is going on on Facebook.

The problem, which they didn't anticipate, is that this is a REALLY BAD TA and people/pilots are reacting accordingly.

I'm pushing 20+ years and never seen anything like this TA. When NWA was loosing hundreds of millions of dollars a year, the contract we negotiated in 2003-4 was better than this. I think it was a 3.5/4.5% raise with no real concessions.

IMO, in C2015, they overreached, and they weren't prepared for it.

It never helps when two parties negotiate for a group when both are removed from the daily realities the group deals with.

Maybe, they need to have line pilots negotiate the next TA.

The company is not really concerned with chit chat, because it's a private forum. Facebook and this place is another story.

Think stock prices.

True, but there are lines, and I am betting that some are being balanced on.

The Constitution only restricts the Federal and State governments.

Not Delta and not our union (Or, other union organizers.)

Our union is the one who SHOULD be protecting our speech rights. Jus tike they should be protecting our right to privacy when it comes to our medical records.
