Sailing is correct. The company can avoid paying us any extra.

It's a fools errand to count on 3.B.4 as a way to hedge against being parked.

They could grant a bonus instead of a raise and eliminate 3B4 in any year they choose. 1 bonus in 17 would keep us under current rates until 18 which is when we should be nearing end game on the contract.
And we would easily win a grievance on the bonus not being counted as a pay raise since the company obviously would be using it to circumvent the intent of the contract. At least that is what we should expect dalpa to do.

You'd have to be pretty dumb to think the other employees are not getting raises in the next three years. So... "me too"!

Take 3 minutes and read the 3B4 section. Then please come back and tell us what you found a if you still believe we would win a grievance.

It's not about the raises anyway. But, it is definitely a fools errand to vote for this.

Eventually they will have to give the FAs a raise if its 6% after 2 years then guess what? AA and UA average is 6% 2 years out. The longer this goes the more the industry average builds.

That's why it's a rolling 18 months in 3.B.4. When has the company paid a bonus to front line employees? Do you think that would be a sizable bonus we would miss? 1% of w2 2%, 3%, 5%, 20% after paying 20% in profit sharing? So front line employees get PS plus an 8% bonus after 1/1/2016. 28% of compensation around Jan. Feb. time frame? Now they have cost control problems that wall street will surely notice.

False. If it's so easy to avoid, why would they bother altering it in the TA?

Read it. It specifically addresses bonuses and states we would get a matching bonus. Percentage wise however a bonus is a poor deal for us because of our much higher wages. It really does not matter however because here is the last line in that section.
Note: This provision will terminate on December 31, 2015.
