Cancel orders but then they want to upgage to from 50 to 76 and 76 to 100.

I thought our union told us the E190 had a deposit cancel date of July 10th?

I thought Richard would have said the order has already been cancelled

Richard chose his words carefully. He said they "will". Be cancelled. Someone should have asked when exactly?

They couldnt. They took one more queston and cut it off. The best follow up would've been why? That's a hard one to explain.

He gave the only answer he could.
He said the orders were contingent on the TA. He can't back down from that. At least not immediately. His credibility would be shot.

He sounded angry when he said it. Very slow.

That said, what was the business case as to why the ta had to pass on the first vote to get those jets?

Did aviaton week even get a chance to ask a question?

Btw... nobody really is going to cry about the 739 not being ordered. Just saying.

The TA being voted down should give RA even more insentive to get the 190's. They would be flown at a much cheaper rate than the TA rates.

The fuel hedging losses continue to be astronomical.

At what point do we stop saying that this management team is brilliant and doing a fabulous job?

They can do a whole list of good things but then they undo every bit of that with their absolutely horrible judgment in the jet fuel market.

Management's gambling on oil prices is costing us billions.
When will someone be held accountable?

Hey Jamie - Why don't you ever ask about this?

I thought they were coming anyways and we would rather fly them at $140/hr than $200/hr??? It was going to be the rebirth of the B-scale

What happened?

But the 717's were coming anyways too, right guys? Let's finally put that BS to rest.

Check is right. If anyone has any doubts that RA is not going to capitulate, this call was a little (big) clue. He is not going to show weakness.

I sincerely want you guys to all be right, and that we are going to eventually come to a deal that exceeds the value of the one that has an opportunity cost of ~$15M to date, and counting.

Something tells me (comments directly from sitting NMB members, past precedent, industry peers' experience and current situations, words directly from RA's mouth...) that it's probably not gonna happen. I'll happily choke down the crow if I'm wrong.

By all means, let's carry out a scorched earth campaign and **** away another 6-12 months with recalls and cage rattling. My check was 8% light this morning. What are we going to do about that?
