DPA Chairman?

I nominate Carl. He oozes leadership, intelligence, and integrity. He has had alpa's number from Day 1. We can see now how right he was about these jackals running dalpa. He's senior... but he still looks out for the youngsters. He's a world-class communicator.
We simply must make a change.
We simply must make a change.

With the little bit I know about Carl, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. As mentioned above, Carl is super senior, yet wants what's best for the entire pilot group, new hire to widebody captain.
I've been impressed with his depth of knowledge regarding ALPA history and contracts. I've heard some of the things he does outside of Delta that really impressed me as well. I'm glad we have a guy with his background and intellect fighting the good fight. Keep it up Carl! You've got my vote

Thanks for the kind words though.

Yep, well I wouldn't vote for DPA either so you all vote for whoever you want. I won't go into what I know or think about Carl. He's turned this board into his bully pulpit through shear volume of posts.
I've always thought our best chance is a very strong ALPA with as many pilot groups in it as possible. Look around. Who's done a better job? I think ALPA has done a great job in many areas to make this industry so much better. They've also navigated through the toughest times in airline history with sometimes mixed results. Overall they've done a lot for me and my career. One call to aeromedical is worth all the dues you've paid if you need it.
I know it's unpopular here but I also think our best chance to get a good contract now is to rally behind the guys we have and let them use the hammer we've given them. I really don't see the reason for all the hysteria. They gave us a chance to vote yes or no on an early deal. You want it? This is the best we could get. If not we'll go back and do it the usual way.

I don't think they had the hammer until we just gave it to them. We have profit sharing way too large for the company taste which I continue to think is our best leverage but I'm sure when they over reached they thought whatever we can get into this TA will get a yes vote. They know differently now.

Me too.

The henious, foul, rotting-meat stench of marxism/socialism surrounds the poster I put up. Mea culpa. It's far more in line with the current regime. This one is much better for you. Far more dignified.

I've said I'm fine with status quo and a portion of, hopefully ever increasing, profit sharing. I'm also fine with monetizing a portion of it for the right price. What's your plan, be specific, on how to put a lot more money in our pockets?

Mike, please read this and try to wrap your mind around it:
IT ISN'T JUST ABOUT THE MONEY!!
Reread ^^^that^^^ again.
Now, what part of that incredibly complex sentence are you having such a hard time understanding??
Take all the concessions out of TA1 and it would've passed by 80%. CLEARLY IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT THE MONEY!!
Geez.

Where did I mention concessions? I said I was willing to monetize a portion of profit sharing for the right price or keep status quo and collect my profit sharing as is.
Since you seem so intent on inserting yourself in our discussion and making accusations how about a little background on you? I'm an LA ER guy.
