Default Profit Sharing

Saw a long spread on the raises for all other employee groups on the net…. CONGRATS BTW!

Blurb said profit sharing of around 20%……

I thought I saw folks saying 22-23%…..

Thoughts?

I'm thinking the 14% raises on Dec 1 for 68,000 employees is going to depress the 2015 profits just a little bit, thus now a lower profit sharing for us.

It's Win-Win for the company however!

The December raise will not be paid until January 2016. Does not affect PS for 2015. I'm pretty sure that's one of the reasons (probably not the main one) the company picked Dec. 1.

Raises are effective 12/1 and will show up starting on the 12/11 and 12/15 checks. Some impact but minimal. Last year was 15% until the final accounting made it 16.58%. We should have the final number mid January. I put the over/under at 21.5%.

Denny,

!2/1 was picked so as to not trigger a raise for the pilots. Ray Charles could see that.

The deal that the non contracts got was way mo worser than the the deal we turned down.

The good news is that we are now decoupled from the rest of the employees. I cannot image any deal good enough for us to agree to the new non contract program.

Agree, the only way the trade works in the noncontract employees favor is if we become an eternal $2.5B/year of profit company. Only time will tell for sure.

If I'm a non-con I'm hoping profits alternate between zero and 20 billion every other year (in the correct order, of course).

At this time last year, didn't Delta deposit an advance of the PS leading into Christmas? I seem to remember something about that.

It was in October I believe. I did not hear why the company did that. Possibly some tax relief. Our union hailed it as a win.
