Just my $.02:

More than likely, they will go to work for the first airline that offers them a job.

Flying an RJ for a year or two (at a decent pay rate) shouldn't be a show stopper.

Funny part of it is your pilot group getting all hot and bothered to fly these airplanes when not to long ago you scoffed at pilots flying them as substandard and beneath you.
Welcome to the RJ game RJ guys.
Wow. I'm not even a Delta guy and this statement reeks of so much victimization and ill-informed bum-hurt it's just sad. The 190 is an RJ only because airline management has brainwashed you into believing it. The 2400-mile range, extended over-water capabilities and greater fuel capacity than a DC9-30 or 717 make it squarely a mainline jet. The current rates may stink but it's 300-ish guys that will be flying it on DL property that otherwise wouldn't be DL pilots at all. Wanna bet they are indeed "pacing back and forth" to fly it vs staying at their current regional, corporate or retired-mil gigs?

The 717 is much more of an rj than the 190 if you look at performance and consider they're within 10 seats of each other.

I'm guessing they ought not apply to AA lest they end up flying the "RJ" there as well.

The E190 is a neat jet, probably better than the super duper dc9 we already fly. Here's to hoping it works out.

Btw if you're a complete ignorant fool and clueless as to the last 12-24 months of union life here and our scope clause language, then don't post here. Because you add nothing.

Your words not mine.

I am not privy to your goings on! no. But scope has been used as a negotiating point before. I am also not a "complete" ignorant fool, thanks for the personal insult.

Beeteedubs...Why do you have a big angry purple P€#!$ as your avatar?

In fact, I bet they use that shiny new C-series parked in ATL today as bait to get you guys to relax the 190 back to the regionals. It does seat less than 100 seats you know.
