That article doesn't say who is going to fly them. Just because Delta buys them doesn't mean they'll be flown by the superior hands of the double breasted hat adorned sky gods. Endeavor is a wholly owned entity that can fly them as well as some other delta minuses that could lease them to replace 2 or 3 to one for 50 seaters. That would put them back in the incapable bumbling hands of far inferior pilots who haven't been flying 90 seaters for years already. Hope we can keep that big jet from hitting other smaller aircraft on taxiways and stay on the runway at LGA. We're all in this together ladies and gents, insults are real easy to throw around. We live in glass houses. I hope Delta does put mainline pilots on them and gets great rates! That means more demand for hiring, movement, and might finally put the whipsaw regional airline management pukes out on the streets. But as for the pilots, I'd let them be my wingman any day.

What makes regional guys punks? Pilots like you make me sick I'm sure bid D is not your first flying job and just because you work for big d doesn't mean you have to be a BIG D. Idiot. Congrats on the new airframes and the flying, the less regional operators out there the better. On that point I agree but to talk smack about the much harder working RJ guys bringing you your pax day in and day out is a move of a C Suck$&@! PUNK.

The manufactures nomenclature has absolutely nothing to do with who operates the airplane. Airbuses aren't flown only by Europeans, or Boeings by americans, or canadairs by canadians etc.
Scope and only scope matters. Large gauge or small gauge both need to be recaptured and maintained. If the mainline operates more airplanes it needs more pilots. |

?...wrote a Scope clause into the contract that actually prevents everything you stated.
Funny part of it is your pilot group getting all hot and bothered to fly these airplanes when not to long ago you scoffed at pilots flying them as substandard and beneath you. Welcome to the RJ game RJ guys. |
The real question is how will the military candidates that have Delta as their career goal carrier react when they realize that by going with Delta they will have to start out in an RJ, vs. going with UAL or AA and starting out in a Boeing or Airbus.

You really just don't hear unprofessional, childish, garbage like that flying across the NATs. I wonder why? |

I'm sure it's absolute and unwaiverable. But, if management wants you to relax it you will. I don't think people will pace back and forth to fly RJs. If you don't relax it there is no way they're gonna budge on the rates.

Welcome to the RJ game RJ guys. Please explain how you know the company is not "gonna budge on the rates" BTW, many Delta pilots flew RJ's; we know about the puppy mills. |
