Opposition to redirects by our Chairman?
#1
From a very trustworthy source...
Chairman/NC vigorously oppose redirects and desires to press forward to get pay rates. What about the concessions?
If your not okay with "agreed to" concessions, many QOL gives, bottom of the industry vacation among others, call your reps early and often. If not, prepare for another salesjob/failure.
If the SL is any indication how things are going, chalk up another win for the execs. We need QOL improvements throughout the PWA. We're not even breaking even.
Is this why the regular meeting is canceled to be replaced by a special meeting? To not allow redirects?

Very troubling. Attempting to cut out the reps--and by extension, US!--is unacceptable. If he won't listen to our reps, he must be recalled.
And the NC will need to go as well.

Yeah, gotta tell ya I'm torn on this one. I really like being able to verify during the first 100 hours, or I should say my wife likes it. Makes me get off my dead arse, get some drugs and not make her sick so yes it's a concession in my mind. Also, I try/like to fly the 75+ hour Asia trips so by definition 2 of those in a year is bad. Plus, what about an accident that doesn't result in a disability?
Have we heard how/who will do the mandatory verification? Having a 3rd party do it was the number one reason I voted no to the last TA. Also, will State Sick by a family member (which already has to be verified) count towards the rolling 100? I used 80 on that alone last year.
But, with all that said, I don't think I've used 100 hours in a year in my career (just lucky I guess), can't tell ya about rolling 12 months though.........
Anyway...........needs more details IMHO.

I'm not going to pass judgement until I see the final product but these are my biggest issues to date:
1. Hole in the boat when it comes to PS
2. VB makes me very nervous
3. Scope
4. Retro pay is a must
5. Initial rates for pay, vacation, training, and 401k need to be as-is from our initial counter proposal.
6. No ladder pulling -- screw 2 year seat freezes for new hires. We gonna eff them with another b-scale on the next negotiation?
I don't think the new TA is beyond hope but it definitely needs work.

Hawaii, you can't tell me the garbage we've seen is anywhere close to "industry leading."
Why is he opposing redirects?

But so far, things aren't looking good. I want to let things play out, but it's looking like a NO vote

I haven't seen anything so far that makes me want to sink the boat before we see land.
