SLC trips suck........can you explain why? SLC seems like it would be a really sweet domicile....maybe never be a CA there within 20 yrs...but for someone content to be FO and fly domestic would it still suck? I have a delta interview and was considering SLC....so serious feedback is encouraged.

As was said by others, 320 and 88s some times get training outside ATL. The MIA 717 sim was moved up to ATL last fall. Bid the 717 and you too can hear your instructors complain about sim #3.
In my class 3 of 4 A320s got MIA and 2 of 7 mad dogs got LAS. But I'm sure they try to keep as many as possible in ATL.

We have 17 and 18 yr Captains there now and they dealt with furloughs, multiple years of zero hiring, parking all flight engineer aircraft, retirement age going from 60-65, and a merger. We now are hiring over 1000/year with massive retirements coming - even if the age gets raised again.
I predict every base will have 5-10 year junior Captains shortly.
