Well if our union can't produce a valid Pro/Con paper - it will not matter because at that point we will be doomed.

Seriously? Too hard to Produce?

How about this:

Widening the TALV +/- 1 hour.

Pro: Allows Pilots more flexibility in building schedules.
Con: Provide the company more productivity in high tempo months resulting in less Pilots required.

You guys are right - There is no way DALPA could do that.

Yep! Not that difficult... Other carriers that have done/do this have a staunch Yes write the con and No write the pro. Simple and logical.

The vote will tell the polling data is accurate or not. Apparently it was about 65% wrong last time. Just sayin'

Or it was dead on and they decided not to follow it.

They only did one round of polling last time... this time it has been continuous, and they've been able to see the shifting environment.

It would be good to see the company and Dalpa run this thru PBS using last summer for comparison. If they did already do this, will they tell us the number of jobs it is worth?

I guess the remedy for this is to negotiate a contract with very few or no negatives and you won't have that problem. Kind of like UAL, UPS and SWA.

If they cannot do that now, they need to step down and be replaced by those that can.

I actually give some credit to the company. If they aren't going to stop overreaching, I'm not sure there's a negotiator that will be capable of stopping those attempts. Luckily, line pilots have the final say. We can each officially decide whether a greedy management team is worth going above-and-beyond for on the line, and if sacrificing decades of QOL is worth a few more Benjamins. Independent of what ALPA, DPA or the NMB say, we decide.
