Then I'll have to read thru around 100 posts, the first 30 of which refute your previous 100 posts, the last 70 telling us why we should vote yes, selling QOL provisions of our PWA in order to buy what will be about industry standard pay rates, all of that before oil goes to 212$ a barrel, and the next Black Swan rains down upon us! Can't wait to read your 200 posts, I need something to kill time during my 30 hour layovers!
It's a trick some guys try to use. Act one way in order to bank some sort of "street cred", then have an "ahah" epiphany moment where they try to persuade their new brothers that they all had it wrong and need to vote yes on concessions. It worked in the early days of message boards. Today, not so much.

It would be nice if the sales jobs ceased. Case in point: UPS comparison. The BEST light Delta can be painted in to compare to a UPS contract is to have a new hire vs. new hire scenario. And that's all the video compared. Why the absence of a career comparison for a dead zoner? ...because the comparison SUCKS! And guess how many TA voters are new hires? None. Last I heard, there were 8,000 dead zoners. THEIR UPS comparison is non-existent. It is maddening how ignorant DALPA believes its membership to be.

In spite of the dismal deadzoner history.... we keep sending alpa $50m a year.

They have good reason to believe we are stupid.

And a better idea is?

It always comes back to how much dues we are paying. PPA all over again.

Just for FYI. The upgrade at UPS now is 15 years. So what is it at DL? 3? 5? So one will make much more in Hourly by being a Captain 10 years earlier than at UPS. That's huge. And the 40K Profit sharing checks equate to $45 an hour bonus on top of one's current hourly rate.

The 3 year upgrade is an aberration, there are nine gazillion F/O's that could hold "A".

How do you figure it is an aberration? Of course there are lots that could hold it. But there is this belief that a junior guy is going to be junior forever. I don't at all think that is the case. With the retirements and modest growth, they are gonna be lineholders pretty soon.

And I still wouldn't be surprised to see off the street left seat hires on the CS200s. I could be wrong, but I would not be surprised if it did happen

Last bid 88 CA was 14 months... if you live around the NYC area or can put up with the commute, your career will be very different than those in SLC or MSP (or LAX).

And contrary to what some here like to say, our reserve system does not suck.

It can if you can't hold weekends off. I've gotten beaten up pretty freaking hard during the back pedaling days post merger.

It's never as bad as a regional, though.
