Wondering what I'm doing wrong. 30+ years 320A. It takes 15 days to get 78+45. Guess I need to pick up those 5 leg 5 day trips.

Wow, that's 8+45 per day. Do they need to augment with a relief pilot? They must have a bunk too right? Or at least a rest seat...

Anything to avoid the cold hard facts.

How many pilots does Comstock poll?

Hundreds responded on chit chat. Over 90% No.

74% No here. This forum is by far the most management friendly. The poll was a trial balloon for lower and the truth is out.

The handful of yes are the tiny little Curly club.

My post was in jest. 2% vs .02%.

The beauty of an almost 7 hour min day Dharma. Do you think they actually fly 7 block every day? The answer is no, but they do get paid for it.

I think the no vote % would be higher. but the yes crowd are making new accounts every day!

This was info from our JS'er, he works 4 three day trips each month.

Tanker,

The above is correct to convert TFP to an "hourly" rate but to convert total TFP you have to divide.

The key is that a trip is approximately 55 minutes of work. So an hour of work pays more. XXX amount of trips per month is less than XXX hours.

In your example, copied here you use 105 Trips as your example:

"Ask an SWA pilot what they earn for 12 days of work? Spoiler alert, about 105 hrs of pay"So dividing 105 tfp by 1.13 you get about 92 hours of pay.

The whole TFP issue is very confusing depending on which conversion you are doing but one thing is absolutely clear - We at DAL domestically can get no where near 92 hours in 12 days.

I am very seriously considering pulling down the poll or at least unsticking it. How is a poll that is open to all of APC valid for DAL Pilots?

This poll is probably not indicative of anything. If you want to see the DAL Pilot only results go to Chit Chat, but that poll will suffer from an extreme selection bias.

The Chit Chat poll is running about 92-8 against. But about the only thing that poll is good for is to compare it to the Chit Chat poll during the TA. If I recall correctly that poll ran about 98-2 against.

That's why I'm curious to see what the pilot group as a whole thinks. A lot of people probably don't even know what chit chat is. We need a full online survey that all of us can participate in
it's actually 2.6% based on the number that have voted.
