you are talking to the guy that lives in base for his category and chooses to commute to chase green slips, so there's that

I took a look to see how many of these 90 plus lines were going out. Looked at the most junior seats for Aug.
The 717B in ATL had zero lines over 90. In fact none over 88.
They did have 134 out of about 225 regular lines under 80. The 70 hour lines were spread to the bottom of the line holders.
The 88B seat in ATL also strangely showed not a single line over 90 hours. They had 5 or 6 over 88.
They had 260 lines under 80 hours out of about 480 again spread throughout the lineholders.

No vacation weeks available. (even if we got more vacation)
2 less days off June through August. (31 day months gone)
How are we making it easier to get that time off? You know, the time I should just take. 4 & 5 day trips are 80-90% of the time in the bid pack. Those drop really easy.

The only math to calculate is the amount of increased time off. For those who are tired of working 90+ hour lines during the summer the loss of 2 days was a slap in the face. It will only get worse. Sell your days off back to Delta by picking up trips if you like but more time off during the summer is a essential.
I don't live like that, and neither do you, but I see no harm in improving our finances. It might give people the option of not hoaring so much. Maybe they'll take it, maybe they won't. My money is on "won't". People seem to be just plain greedy. Maybe if it pays more, they'll pick up all the stuff you're eager to drop?
Either way, if your imperative is more time off, I can see why you're often frustrated. The group doesn't really seem to value it, and it's the last thing the company wants.
