My July schedule was 90:07 with a min credit bid.(admin limit of 0 min lines) I managed to drop most of it with an APD and payback days on the 20th of June. Had I been one PCS run later it wouldn't have happened. I massage my schedule every month because I can't get what I want and I'm seniorish in category. One 3 day over the 4th an no trips less than 4 days available the rest of the month. If you aren't in the top 20, no vacation either. (5 weeks available each week)

No QOL improvements has me doubting the rumored TAs viability.[/QUOTE]

If you are in the top 45% of line holders you should be able to force the system into the bottom 0-5 hours of the window and shut it off so it can't give you more even if it wants to. It takes a little work with multiple bid groups but I can do it consistently. Call the call center for ideas if you needhelp.

The trip length is the problem, I had a better schedule doing 3 days exclusively 8 years ago. It is nearly impossible to get weekends off and 1-3 day trips.

Thanks for the advice.

The RCC fantasy that we have any influence on trip mix is just rhetoric. Real influence over trip construction and trip mix will only come if we put it in the contract.

Actually some of the RCC recommendations are taken in slow months - think February, October etc. In the summer months when it is actually needed - not so much.

I have done some work with the RCC and in my opinion the TA wording was pretty useless.

As an ATL 717B, I agree with you Scoop. Useless, as they took input, but the trip mix/composition never changes much.

Wow, I agree with Scoop, Tanker, and NotEnuf. The RCC can't do anything that the contract doesn't require , and if the contract requires it, we don't need a RCC.

When I say things that the contract requires, I don't mean optimize an individual base. That's even more utopian. I just mean to put in constraints that Carmen needs to honor in building any rotation, anywhere.

No one has ever been able to explain how the RCC works, when we have RCC's at every base, and one base's trip mix affects another. It's an inherent conflict of interest, wrapped-up in impotence. Looks good on a resumé, I suppose.

The RCC is worthless.

How hard is this to understand?

No concessions.

Full retro.

No changes to PS unless retirement is addressed.

That is demanding, not negotiating. How hard is THAT to understand?
