So more than a year away correct?

When is the last SSP leaving and when was the first DGI upgrade? I'd like to have a good idea of when I could expect to fall in line.

For example, if I upgrade in August of '17, but wouldn't actually have my time in line until August of '20, I'd be smart to wait a year to upgrade (ignoring the pay increase factor if all I cared about was QOL at a base or schedule)

Except that I think you have to serve as CA for two years before going, so the sooner you upgrade the sooner the clock starts

You are correct about two years of course, but notice the timeframes he mentioned. 2017 & 2020. And the sooner the clock starts is a factor, but so is sucking it up on RSV as a CA vs. living a better life as an FO with a great schedule. The best plan would be to upgrade exactly two years before the call. But that will be a moving target that is hard to hit.

Taco, I don't follow the SSP folks all that closely, but the list is somewhere in the FOU area I think. Estimate the last SSP going to DAL, then the first DGI SHOULD be eligible to interview.

As someone who was hired post-SSP maybe one of you all can answer this for me.

I thought the SSP "Sunset" was December and you had to submit your stuff to be interviewed by then. Yet, there are still people interviewing or who can qualify for the interview out there. So my question is, what group is out there that can partake in the SSP that still qualifies for it?

Further, anyone have idea what is going to happen to the seven or eight EtD guys? There are a couple that haven't upgraded (and plenty of DGI's that have) and the theory behind EtD was two years as CA then go to DL, no? Do we think waiting for them to sit two years as CA will delay any DGI interviews?

Gosh, sorry to hear you guys are still fighting this battle. I left in 2014 after I got hosed by the EtD program, and Delta in general. Good Luck it sounds like the same mess they couldn't commit to back then.
