Just remember, that only applies going to work, they care nothing about if you ever can get home. Commuter be ware.

You're so funny man!

Commuting is nowhere near as bad as you make it out to be.

I've commuted for 16 years from several different cities to several different bases.

I get to live where I want and have seniority for lots of days off or lots of money if I choose.

And getting a positive space to work and not ever having to stress over that is in the words of our fearless leader.....HUGE!

Just was pointing out to the new guys that the positive space only works going to, not getting from work. That may not be any issue or it may mean being prepared to fly 2 or 3 trips in a row before getting home.

True but you could try to bid trips ending out of base and take advantage of the alternate deadhead provisions to get positive space home.

You’ve been bidding RSV 2 on 1 off so long that you seem out of touch with the reality of what the majority of working pilots actually deal with here. It’s really not that bad. I’ve 2-legged it thru ATL to DTW and never had to CIH or not made it home.

In the years I have commuted I've been bumped once. It's really not that bad. Not really sure how you can give advice on commuting if you don't commute?

And you make it to work to get paid at rates far above others (for most longevity steps). No lose of pay and not stress commuting to work-sign me up

I haven't done that trick since I downgraded to FO in 2014. I've found it not needed for my needs. But I do need the option to have the occasional 2 day reserve stretch to get specific days off. I'm not B.B. B.K. or K.W.
I'm well aware of what commuting was like, I've had to do it a few different times over the years... I don't have any interest in doing it again here. Those that find it a simple task, great, keep it up.

I couldn't care less if I got to work, it was the hassle of getting home.
