gojets maintenance then a heavy check still won’t fix it.... our guys have a long summer ahead. at least won’t have to NonRev cringing seeing it’s a flight operated by gojets with a 50% delay rate.....

Interesting that our MEL assumes 2 FMS are installed in the 900. I don't think we can operate these single FMS 900 configurations, as is.

I mean I'm sure it wouldn't be impossible to delineate by serial different procedures. They just need to update the MEL. We already have different procedures for different equipped aircraft. IRS vs AHRS etc

shouldn’t they have updated the MEL before trying to put the planes in service?

Idk. I haven't even looked at the MEL. Maybe they did. Or maybe if you lose one FMS you use the MEL for both FMS deferred and the FAA is cool with that in the interim. Who knows.

It gets complicated with one FMS now, you need FMS failure procedures if the missed approach is RNAV required and a non-RNAV alternate approach if your planning a RNAV approach at your destination.

Our MELs are 700/900, and all of the 700s only have one FMS...
