Who copy and pasted something? There's nothing wrong with inquiring about rumors on a message board; it's a message board forum ffs. Sounds like you need that pill. Thanks for not answering my question which was the reason for posting.
Is there a number of 9E pilots that would have to be furloughed of 3000 of their pilots get furloughed? I am just curious.

Sure but none of that has to do with what you wrote earlier. You're freaking out and subconsciously trying to get the rest of the tribe onboard with freaking out so you don't feel alone. You're not alone, everyone with a brain is prepping, you can't fix or save the stupid ones.
In the meantime, you're in holding for a while and bingo fuel is like 3hr from now.

Besides, DL furloughing shouldn’t directly impact us. They could furlough 3,000 pilots in October and we could begin to hire in October. Or vice versa, DL could avoid furloughs and we could end up furloughing 20%. Anything is possible.
Come Q4, I really hope you get to say “told you so”.

None of us, myself included, have anything beyond a guess to know how this is going to go. Don't waste too much time on conjecture.
Save as much money as possible in preparation for the worst. If things get bad, you'll be happy you have that pile of cash. If things recover quickly, do whatever you want with it. Do whatever you can to put yourself in the best position to move on when things pick up again. Finish your BS in BS even though it's a BS requirement. Volunteer somewhere. Do something other than just sit around on APC.

I’m not freaking out. I’ve been through a bankruptcy, a furlough and a downgrade. Have you? 3000 pilots isn’t that many in the grand scheme of things. Roughly 20% of their seniority list, which is typically the starting point historically.

I love you triple down on the 3000 number, like you put any thought into it, rather than vomited up a badly written troll job from another APC thread you took as a real rumor.
if been through all that you should be smarter than this, but youre not. How is that?

The government is already talking about shutting down again in the fall, if there isn't another bailout, Delta will be in Chapter 7, and we will all be on the street together. The options are another bail out, or nationalization, take your pick.

Ironic. Hanging out (bothering) the college buddies after you already graduated.
Why 3000, why not 2590 or 3350. You're backing away from your uninformed post that was madeup crap, and doubling down on the made up number.
If bookings stay exactly like they are today there will be no edv and Delta will be about 3000 pilots total breaking even. If it snaps back as a perfect v in three months by August Delta will be cancelling flights from lack of staffing. There's a very very wide band and pinpointing 3k Furloughs as opposed to 10k furloughs have the same evidence supporting them.
This is a crazy time, but it's not gonna be made better by sulking and pushing other people to sulk with you. Just wait a month until sales people can tell us wth is going on with bookings. If it's bad, we all(mainline and regional) will know and have lots of time to prep for unemployment.

Koolaid drinking at the big leagues. There isn't going to be any quick V shaped recovery. Barring another CARES Act-type of bailout on Oct 1st, every single airline will be laying off in October. You're doing a disservice to yourself if you aren't already prepping for downgrade/furlough/unemployment.
