Sounds like a lot of pilots complained about not being able to live on 55 hours to the union. They would rather furlough their coworkers than try to live off that

If passengers don't book tickets none of this matters. Why don't you be patient and see if you wouldn't want that money in your pocket. I would have liked SILs at mainline too but the company didn't want our money and even if we tie lowered avls and early retirements in we'd only keep the place open for an extra week or two.

See if the flying comes back before October and beyond on 90 day projections. Who knows maybe therell be a second stimulus. In the meantime just be patient we don't know anything yet.

I agree with patience, but lack of discussion and particularly communication from our ALPA MEC on Reduced Credit Lines, SILs and reduced pay leave is disheartening. I would have expected ALPA to advise against taking unpaid leave if they truly wanted the company to take future negotiations more seriously. Did we get anything for standing on the sideline while thousands volunteered away their compensation for two positive space tickets they could have more than purchased with what they gave up?

They had a 3 hour all pilot call you obviously didn't listen to.

Special incentive lines aren’t available because the didn’t offer them to mainline first. Reduced credit lines sound terrible as it sounds as if we would be closer to min days off for less pay. And it would cost much more for some to go to work for less in return. And in regards to those who took the temporary leave, everyone’s situation is different. I agree, this situation sucks. But most of it is out of our control

Seriously man. Listen to the call. They went through all this. They tried for SIL's. They tried to trade reduced credit lines for other contractual improvements besides flow. Non-cost stuff like front end alt DH.

are you seriously saying that the company would take us more seriously during negotiations if the union actively discouraged people from taking advantage of cost-saving measures the company put forth such as unpaid leave? at the time of the call I believe less than 10% of the pile group had taken it. And as far as the flight attendants go, most of them make more on unemployment than they would coming to work, plus they keep their flight benefits, plus their insurance is 100% paid by the company. All of this, and they get to stay home and not get sick. if that was my life situation I would have taken it too.

I'mI'm confused what you're priority is, and what you believe we should be negotiating for. But please don't respond here because we should not negotiate in public. If you listen to the call or talk to your reps, it becomes glaringly clear that there is no cost savings endeavor pilots could offer that would prevent furloughs or bankruptcy. In order to save the type of money Delta needs saved we would all have to take 100% pay cuts for the rest of the year and it would still not cover the shortage.

Mesa’s union did that and now with the stimulus they are getting raked over the coals for doing it.

55 hr lines for job protection? How does that work? Its easy to forget EDV mgmt has very little(and when I say very little, I mean zero) leeway in terms of guaranteeing anything right now. Let alone job security. Daddy D is calling the shots. No penny is spent without their approval right now. Agree that flow is never happening, but when the pilot group accepts 55hr lines for “protection” and then Daddy D pulls the plug on EDV, who got played?
