Default "Retention" is a failure

Points:
  1. Management doesn't listen and is wasting $250 million on a flop of a retention program
  2. DALPA disapproves of the above expenditure
  3. Attrition is actually accelerating since implementation of "retention" program
  4. Attrition exceeds the company's goal
  5. The seniority list is shrinking
  6. Schedules and QOL are deteriorating, same as our mainline overlords
  7. Management is doing nothing meaningful to address this
  8. JG said big D is ok with us shrinking, a strong indication they will do nothing to help attrition
Discuss.

Not much to discuss. If for some reason you don’t yet - get your apps out and go anywhere the paint job matches the paycheck.

Does management even realize how bad it's failing?

I heard they need to collect more data. Better give it another 6 months, just to be safe.

No /s required. This is exactly what JG said on the Podcast. All the light in the universe can’t make a blind man see.

At least NJ and JL are meeting on the 28th. So we shall see.

But yes it's a failure. And take the first cjo you get.

well for starters , the retention was 40 grand less than AA WO’s and many were metered and losing seniority. Now the Higher pay rates and check airman pay rates at AA WO’s are putting an ass whoppin on everything . It’s a no brainer why it hasn’t worked . Hopefully they can come up with an industry leading solution . At this point I don’t think strictly seniority or money will work. I think it will have to be a combination of the two . Higher rates or additional money/ seniority.

And why on earth would DALPA agree to anything like that before they have a new contract?

So they can get money that would have been spent at Endeavor to be instead be put into their new contract. Without DALPA's agreement the only thing Delta can do is throw more money at us.

This company is going to implode in on itself, even before the agreed upon flow ends. There’s going to a lot of ****ed off pilots that thought they were going to Delta and end up going to the unemployment office.
