Bragging shows poor character no matter who you are. Don't tell me Colgan guys are less humble than Pinnacle guys though because we all have those guys with no class. Bragging is almost as bad as categorizing every pilot in a group in the same manner.

That type of bragging is exactly what gives us former Colgan guys and gals a bad rep.
I'm just thankful I still have a job after this mess of poo. And I'm counting my lucky stars that I didn't lose a stripe. |
I just got done flying with an ex Colgan guy who is was hired around the same time I was. He was bragging about how many days off he has and how he wants to pick up trips, while original 9E guys who was in my new hire class are getting downgraded. Fine I not mad at the guy just because he ex Colgan, some are good guys but bragging about how good you have it is just wrong. |

It's one thing to brag about your schedule because you've been at the company 15-20 years, but it's another thing with the guy I flew with, who was on paid vacation for 7 months. Jumping the fence. Bumping junior original 9E CA down. I got to hear about how great his time off was and how many days off he get to spend with his family while the ex 9E CA are getting downgraded. That's one of the lowest thing I've seen in the 7 years I've been here. You're right no one likes a bragger but I can go with out hearing how great the Colgan guys had it. I've flow with some great Colgan guys and I get along with just about anyone but this is something that shouldn't be talked about. Especially with premerger Pinnacle FO.

First off u don't have a clue what ur talking about. 7 months off doesn't mean he jumped the fence it means he was displaced. And bragging about spending time with his family? That's the only glimmer of hope in this industry. Had he been bragging about getting high and playing video games that would be another story. Nice try 9e silver boy.
Wait... What? 7 months off.. then boasting about NOT being able to pick up trips as a line-holder? Yea, we should all feel sorry for the guy... He had expectations.. right? (3 year RSV guy displaced to FO).... 7+ Year FO is my reality. |

Where does he say that the guy boasted about not being able to pick up trips as a line holder? Or that he is even a line holder? Where did I say to feel sorry for the guy? My comments were to point out that he didn't jump the fence (CJC guy that wanted to fly the jet and bid it in that god awful bid). He got displaced if he was off for 7 months.
The point is that you have "moved on" and this topic is "Toxic". You could say the sky is blue, and it would be argued. Anyone starting with "7 months off" and then defended by "family" doesn't bode well. I asked my wife this question hypothetically, and she was livid for reference. Only the bottom 4-6 Pre-Merger CJC guys hold reserve currently, the rest hold lines, In the last few months to the tune of 14-18 days off depending on bid. This is great news, unless you see that pre-merger 9E guys are on reserve and now displaced to FO with 11 days off and far more longevity to the most junior LH. This battle is about to go nuclear, as advice, I would avoid it and move on. Just $.02 knowing what is approaching. |
