If that really is Phil Reed posting, then I want you to know that I've appreciated you not sugar coating things when I've heard you talk in the past. What you read on here about our pilot group is accurate. I've never met a group so universally dissatisfied with their employer before. To the degree that I am AMAZED that we can still get any flights in the air. The situation here needs to change before the pilot group melts down. It often seems that the company does things just to make us miserable and show that they can get away with it. At times it's borderline sadistic.

This LOA, might have seemed like a great idea at surface level, but after very little digging, it is easy to see that it only benefits a small and select group of downgraded captains..... While at the same time, this LOA is slighting about 900 other pilots on the seniority list. Do they really want/need to give any more reasons to the pilots of Endeavor to be disgruntled?
Well from my perspective I'd rather be downgraded and keep my captain pay rather than go to New York and sit reserve. The ones that are pay protected will be able to hold 15-20 days off, be based where they want, and make bank picking up premium pay trips. Friken Delta.

Or they're just upset because they're getting lashings from their mgmt because Endeavor signed a remarkable contract that gives D a better cost structure, and helped create an anomaly where companies are recruiting new pilots with bonuses and asking for concessions at the same time.

For those of us on the sidelines, without poking the hornets nest, how/why are downgraded CAs not going to FO pay?

They signed an LOA giving downgraded captains pay protection. However I have not read it so I am not sure if it says you have to not be able to hold any captain slot.

Short answer: Company offered it last minute, "Union" reps voted on it and agreed to give it a pass. Shook hands, put it down on an LOA and made it official.

End result: **** everybody off.

Because the our MEC and the company feel that our Captains have gotten used to a certain economic lifestyle and would be affected by the low pay scale that FO's have endured for some, over 8 years!!!

It's jus absolutely ridiculous how the company treats it's employees. I hope that many quit and leave them trying to figure out how to put planes in the air. I for one am working on my options right now and my prospects are much better outside of aviation.

Wishing luck to my fellow 9E pilots in their transition. If I were a new pilot, I wouldn't apply here...

From what I understand if you volunteer to leave your seat... (ie you could hold LGA 900 CA but choose MSP 900 FO so you don't have to commute) you go to FO pay not CA pay...
