You essentially agreed to pick up extra shifts to earn overtime pay. Sweet!

Basing it off anything other than 75 is saying now you HAVE to work more whether you want to or not or else suffer a pay cut. What happens when the economy turns and there's less open time to pick up? What happens during recurrent months when you barely clear 75. What happens when your wife gets sick and needs you home more? What happens when............? You get the point.

I cannot fathom how you people are suggesting it's ok to accept a scenario where you have to work more than you've agreed to in order to make the same amount of money, and lose money when you can't. If this was any other industry there would be protests in the streets. You agreeing to work more does not debase or devalue those of us who simply work what we've agreed to in our offer letter. And for those of us who do occasionally make less than 83 hours, we'll be taking a pay cut in the largest period of pay growth in pilot history. How does that statement alone not turn your stomach?

This ^^^^^^!! and what about us reserves and CDO guys??? pay cuts for all of us. Too many kool aid drinking monkeys here...with the mind set of I'll take what they offer me...you are all bad people. Let the bonus expire and then we will have ultimate leverage as this place implodes again.

Flawed thinking. 75 in the minimum pay for a month, not the maximum I agreed to work for. You get paid for what you do, do the absolute minimum and that is what you should get paid for. Basing the bonus on 75 hours is a huge pay raise for the majority of pilots, the only ones who wouldn't get a raise are the pilot who choose to work the absolute minimum.

Take a look at Delta's CRJ-900 pay scale, then tell me again about why we don't deserve a huge pay raise.

I think one of the hat harassers inadvertently outed himself.

Yup big harasser here bro. If after 5 minutes of talking to someone and I know they will get butt hurt easily about me joking about the hat and the reasons I don't wear it, I don't bring it up. ****

I'd ask you for your employee number so I can make sure to bring my hat if we ever fly together, but I wouldn't wanna trigger you any worse than you already are. I mean there's joking and there's taking things too far!

Please please come and Chirp at me for wearing my hat. I will stand with CMA757. It's my hat I have a choice my choice I'll wear the hat until I don't

So much hostility towards a hat and so much defensiveness about wearing one, jeez. Wear it or not wear it. Who cares? It's like we're back in high school. I swear this stuff is more predictable than my wife's menstrual cycle. Every month we rotate between hats, ssp results, and bonus into pay rates. We've heard all the sides to all these, let's move on to something new.

Which has been happening, particularly for 200 captains. We have always been paid based off an hourly rate. Going to any kind of salary-based system means that people who are working more, whether by choice or not, are being compensated less for each hour of work. Even if I do choose to pick up an extra shift, it doesn't make your time more valuable than mine. The conversion at 83 hours is status quo or a raise for the vast majority of our pilots.

Ok. Makes sense.......But basing on 75 hours means status quo for some and a raise for most. You're not even going to try and fight for that? And before you say it's not equitable, look at Delta's 900 pay rates. I know we're not going to get those but just think. They didn't come up with those for fun. Actuaries and accountants came up with those numbers assuming that you could pay pilots that and still turn a profit on the 900. So don't say that is asking for $2.50 per hour more isn't reasonable. It's completely reasonable, and we shouldn't accept anything less than $25.56 an hour bump. If we're the gold standard of regional, why not get paid like it.

Side note: I'm sure you so remember a time in the last few years when pay went up to something you never imagined it would at other regionals, then this one, then the AA regionals. Now mesa has a pay competitive contract.... Nothing is out of the realm of possibility if you deserve it and fight for it.

Fight for it now, while you are holding all the cards.
