No. I got an offer and I had no 141 training

This is a blind crack at this question. He may have meant it that they like 141 because if you can get the R-ATP you can get hired well less time. As far as 61 vs 141 quality of training...I have to disagree with anyone saying one is better than the other. You can have outstanding instructors 61 and crappy pilot mill 141 instructors. It doesn't make a difference what reg your training follows

FWIW I was listed as CA even though I have not completed training.

Seniority lists reflect the position you were awarded system wide, not technically the position is which you sit at a single point in time.

There are hundreds of us at Endeavor who went the 61 route. Do the one you can afford that will get you done in a timely manor. And that you get a good vibe from.

Delta, for the most part, will not care what type of training you received. More importantly, they focus on quality and how consistent your training is. Be prepared to explain large gaps in training and employment. If it took you 6 years to graduate with a 4 year degree, again, prepare to explain it. They want a good idea of your overall body of work and what motivates you. Did you make stupid mistakes growing up and even in college? Who hasn't? There aren't necessarily deal killers. If you wo(man) to your mistakes and believe you learned from them, there's a lot you can muck up and still get hired. Don't be convinced Delta is looking for perfection. They are simply looking for integrity and honesty above all.

That's not correct info that he gave you.

All part 61 here.... 2 years teaching part 61, 3.5 years at 9E, 9 years and counting at a legacy....

61 vs. 141 is useless and I taught at a 141 school. It is all about the instructor/flight school. Only advantage would be getting the ATP with fewer total time.
