They'll have to figure something out, otherwise the LCC's will grab quite a bit of their previous market share during recovery. International flying will take 5 years to recover probably, domestic should rally back pretty hard as people want to get out of this lock down.

Yes the PWA has 102 limit on 51-70 seaters, but to the best of my reading of the legalese, the 70 seaters are part of the equation directly.

But indirectly, I guess if there were less than 102 x 70 seaters at the time, some of the 76 seaters could have seats taken out which would then plus up the 70 seaters until the 102 cap was reached.

Yeah that’s what I’m wondering too. Perhaps it’s possible the loss of mainline hulls would necessitate a reduction in 76 seaters, and then would there need to be an additional 35 parked with no flow back language?

I didn't find anything that mentioned number of ML aircraft to number of DCI aircraft.

However, there is a minimum ratio of revenue block hours that must be maintained at ML. The ratio is based on revenue block hours on all ML NB and the 767-300 compared to revenue block hours of all 76 seat aircraft in Category A or C operations. The more 76 seaters that are flying, the higher the ratio multiplier that ML needs to fly.

Hulls? Do they own boats?

Well I am from Minnesota, and there are allot of boats. But anyone with deductive reasoning could figure out that “hulls” could mean either aircraft or boats. I’ll leave it to you to figure out the rest given this website’s title.

Very savvy. A hull is a main body of a ship or vessel skipper. Hull isn’t an aviation term unless you are Sully! It’s an airframe bro catch up.
