Yes, that's how it's done system wide

Exactly, I don't understand why this is such a hard concept to understand (this same topic keeps coming up over and over). And it is easy to do yourself.

It becomes less simple with more complicated tax situations. And I prefer not to pay an accountant to do for me what I can do for myself. Again, I prefer to keep my money in my wallet.

Can anyone share a normal monthly schedule, with average days off?

Well, my normal schedule over the last 11 years has been 2-3 days of reserve followed by a day off, repeat this all month for a total of 11 days off and 20 days of reserve. But I live in base so I try to break up the days available and allow single day off to do it. Hopefully we are at a point where 10+ years of reserve is a thing of the past though.

I've been on line at JFK for a little over a year and got 17 days off last month. Including being able to get two weeks off in a row by allowing single day off between trips. That's just bidding max days off and weekends off, both of which I seem to get. It seems like some of the long term captains are still sitting reserve right now but that should change soon with the upgrades predicted this year.

WTH does this mean? Fill out the one page form - done, if you can't figure it out you shouldn't be flying airplanes. If your tax situation is so complicated you can't figure it out then you probably have the money to have an accountant take 15 minutes to estimate your yearly withholdings and fill out the 1 page form.

With me being on reserve, the min days we get off is 11. Thankfully for some higher power I got all weekends off being like the #2 reserve in my base, and was even able to drop this Monday off, which was impossible looking at Flica for this month. Last month I was about to drop more days and even had the last couple of days off in December and the first couple in January which gave me a week off. Sacrificed a little money but the time off and being home was worth it. Looking at the Jr line holders on the 200 for this month most guys have between 13-16 days off. The 900 looks the same. Some have 1 or 2 weekends off for the month. I remember seeing credit between 85-95hrs.
