So you're saying it should be at the discretion of scheduling and not an LOA? Just because it's been working out for you doesn't mean that they do that for everyone. Calling in honest is without pay until you can catch up with your trip which can sometimes take a while. That's why some will opt for a sick call, and possibly call in well later

I love the 4 sick calls per year without a question asked policy. Works great in conjunction with each of my weeks off throughout the year.

Call in honest you do get pay protected once you're there. Some ny union guy explained it to me. ONce you get there and youve missed a leg or something and they put you on time available you are pay protected. Screw scheduling does a good job of playing dumb on that one. FOr all you florida commuters during spring break its good to know that one.

Where did I say that? I didn't. I related what my experience has been thinking it might help those in a pinch.

Default Alcohol misuse

The Rapids City ordeal got me thinking, and I'm a bit of a newbie, so clearly having a BAC >.02 at 9E is a no-no for a required crew member/Jump Seater…but how does it work for Pos space or non revving? Does it vary between going to work and going to destination x for pleasure?

Thanks in advance

Positive space - same

Nonrevving - fine as long as you are on a personal trip, not in uniform, and not on the way to work.

You can get as drunk as you want as long as you act cool and civil while non-revving.
