It looks like 16-05 final has 13 fewer DTW 200 FO's, 3 fewer MSP 200 FO's, 5 fewer MSP 900 FO's, and a gain of 19 DTW 900 FO's.

I'm still hopeful for ~ the third vacancy of 2017.

As far as commuting goes, I agree with the above; everyone's situation is different. I'm not a fan of big cities, I'll be a commuter for life and it doesn't bother me a bit knowing the QOL I have when I get home. It's the two leg commutes that'll put you in the grave early.

It's ok, there are 18 TDY's of 900 captains OUT of DTW for December.... If you are willing to be based in New York (likely a Co-Domicile by Spring) and don't mind having to interview for a job at a major, this is still a good place.... want to be a captain in MSP or DTW.... well you best hope GoJets finally goes bye bye

Planning has said there's an imbalance between Ca's and Fo's in Detroit. Looks like they're starting to address it with 16-05

Delta essentially has street captains in NYc, even at 6 times our pay, people don't want to go there. The company needs to be more realistic about basing there, even virtual basing for NY would be a step in the right direction.

If I had positive space to NYC and a decent line I would consider being based there.

I would consider it for a stipend for a crash pad and a decent line. I don't think positive space is needed, but I do think that they should review the commuter policy. I think it would benefit everyone if they positive spaced after a failed first attempt.

They pretty much already do. I've been positive spaced after missing my first attempt every time I've called.

That's not been my experience. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. It just depends on there needs. I think it would cut down on sick calls If it was an LOA

Wasn't that the XJ policy? Positive space on the second flight?

I ask for it, I don't wait for them to offer. Maybe that's the difference.
