No, not about what's being published on apc. When they roll the bonus into pay rates expect large increases for fos and for senior captains. Small increases for the 3-7 captain range because that is currently the smallest group. BUT that will be a huge group shortly but they are hoping the new contract has passed before then.

Run that by the hotel committee.

I will say that compared to even just 2.5 years ago, the stuff that pizzes us off now is nothing, NOTHING like back then.

Is it the newest one or has it changed since you were there? We're on at least the 4th hotel for PHX and I haven't really paid much attention to it really, 4 hotels in less than a year is bad.

What happened to the hotel we stayed at when we overnighted there in the SLC days? That was a great place if you were single and didn't have an early show time

Definitely would be. I don't need to drink, rarely do, which is why I want to know when it's ok to have one on a flight and when it isn't. On top of that...could someone explain what the difference between
Pos. Space
Deadhead
Non rev
Jump seating
And when they are applicable to work travel/leisure travel? If you are JS'ing in the cabin aren't you a non rev/dead head?? I'm thoroughly confused with the terminology.

Positive space and deadheading are more or less interchangeable...you are assured a seat by the company. Can't drink. I'm not sure if you can drink while being positive spaced to/from training. I wouldn't do it.

Nonreving could be going on vacation, or going to work on standby. You aren't working. You are using your travel benefits to get from one place to another on your own time. Not on duty, don't have to be in uniform, can drink.

Jumpseating could be on any airline, you will probably get a seat in the back, if not, in the cockpit. You are utilizing agreements between airlines/pilot unions to go on vacation/go to work. Can't drink no matter where you are seated.

And a PS to the stickler that called you out for having a drinking problem just for asking a simple question: You don't have to be an alcoholic to enjoy a free drink or two on a flight.

Hell if I know, I was never there. I'd guess they didn't have van transport to the sim center, which isn't located at the airport...

So if I am understanding you, are you saying that a 7 year captain would do better with the current pay rate and the 23k bonus rather than the new pay rate without the bonus?

I'm a potential return to work with 7 years longevity. Looking at FO pay with 23k then a hopeful upgrade relatively soon (I know, to be the plug in NYC). Just trying to get a handle on what to expect as far as pay the first couple of years.
