Thanks for the great info.
I was at American Eagle in 2011. I didn't want to make that mistake again. Ive learned from my mistakes. I would be commuting to LGA or ORD anyway. Reserve for at least a year, There's no upgrade in sight, and no matter what they say about flow. It's not 5 years.
I have a goal in mind and I'm not going to let something like commuting stop me. I've done it before. It's not as bad as the Debby Downers make it.

Hey fellas, anyone know how picking up a reserve day works? On FLICA, I would like to pick up a reserve day on my day off called "PR2." I am P3 reserve normally so does this pick up mean it will be a P3 reserve pick up or would I be on reserve all day long? Thanks in advanced

It looks like 16-05 final has 13 fewer DTW 200 FO's, 3 fewer MSP 200 FO's, 5 fewer MSP 900 FO's, and a gain of 19 DTW 900 FO's.
I'm still hopeful for ~ the third vacancy of 2017.
As far as commuting goes, I agree with the above; everyone's situation is different. I'm not a fan of big cities, I'll be a commuter for life and it doesn't bother me a bit knowing the QOL I have when I get home. It's the two leg commutes that'll put you in the grave early.

It's ok, there are 18 TDY's of 900 captains OUT of DTW for December.... If you are willing to be based in New York (likely a Co-Domicile by Spring) and don't mind having to interview for a job at a major, this is still a good place.... want to be a captain in MSP or DTW.... well you best hope GoJets finally goes bye bye

Delta essentially has street captains in NYc, even at 6 times our pay, people don't want to go there. The company needs to be more realistic about basing there, even virtual basing for NY would be a step in the right direction.

I would consider it for a stipend for a crash pad and a decent line. I don't think positive space is needed, but I do think that they should review the commuter policy. I think it would benefit everyone if they positive spaced after a failed first attempt.

They pretty much already do. I've been positive spaced after missing my first attempt every time I've called.
