Far from mythical. LGA 5 departure. Has several climb outs. Just have to read the entire procedure.

I can kinda see a newhire getting behind the airplane but if someone is handflying and you're PM its just about prioritizing. There really isn't anything on the checklist that NEEDS to be done right after takeoff unless your're unpressurized or something abnormal.
