It's amazing the how many CJO's are being offered now. I guess the candidates are coming in much more prepared. Glad the Fo's are getting some good news 7 years later. Definitely a reason to stick around. According to ALPA they are saying 80 something percent?

Getting NYC as your base will never be a problem, it's the most junior.

That check airman dude said that the 20+ airplanes will arrive about 2 to 3 per month starting summer. We have to award the upgrades now for adequate (anticipated) training availability with the single sim. God knows where some may be sent. In total, that should nearly double the current -200 captains. We will see.

By July we will have 3 dedicated 200 sims. 2 in MSP and 1 in PHX.

Any idea how long a new hire can expect to be on reserve?

If we can keep hiring like this a new hire today shouldn't be on reserve for more than a few months depending on aircraft and base. With that said, I am a 4.5 year FO in JFK and I'm still on reserve...but the bulk of the new hire wave post bonus announcement are just starting to hit the line. Movement will be much faster with new classes starting monthly. The variable is keeping able bodied people filling class!
