I've actually seen a few guys run the shoulder harness under the epaulets so the gold part doesn't get dirtied up. That was a little excessive but whatever.

Or ya know, just get a stain treater and deal with it. Towels on the epaullets is a step above long sleeves or hat...

Untrue.

There is no contractual callout time while on ready reserve.

The JCBA says "a pilot will make all attempt to report to the aircraft as quickly as possible".

15 minutes is an urban legend.

MX has a cleaning kit. If you find a shoulder harness that stains your shirt send an ACARS to MOC with which seat it is, and they'll clean them next time it in a MX station.
