So not seeing a flow plan yet, but I show an next status effective date on my 3*. Is that a projected class start, or might it simply be a placeholder?

3* effective date is usually an estimate of when one may expect to be finished with training/IOE.

Check your HI10’s. Training dates are starting to populate for upgrades.

Flow plan 18-03 is up on ALPA website but looks like it may have some issues.

The issue being it came out before the bids closed and therefore doesn't reflect the most recent vacancy bid?

They will run back to the training center this fall when they start rehiring instructors again after a few vancacy bids have run.
They can try to go back to training center, but it's not a guarantee.

How does getting a training spot work? Is it 100% seniority or do communication skills/teaching ability play a part? Most of the guys I've run into that were instructing with a seniority number are pretty good teachers so it seems like it's merit based somehow.
