My current airline recognizes my sic 135 time towards the 1000 minimum 121/135 to upgrade. This was verified with the training department. So it's worth something.

I'll.call Envoy on Monday and report back.

Good luck, but that would be odd.
The general idea is that the time where ATP is required is recognized towards the 1000 hrs needed for upgrade.
For example, cargo 135 pic doesn't count

Your training department is wrong.
121.436(a)(3):

" pilot in command in operations under § 135.243(a)(1) of this chapter"

Has to be PIC time under 135 to count towards 121 upgrade.

I think the limit was 950 hours of qualifying time, so you are 30 short?

I underguessed. Looking through the logs, 370 hrs 121 SIC and 620 hrs 121 PIC. I forgot that PIC IOE in there. Also have 2000 hrs 135 / 91K SIC including large jet (90,000 lbs) Int'l experience as SIC with PIC type rating.

How could you upgrade into 121 PIC with just 370 hours of 121 time? Or is this time built years ago before the current 121 regs came to play, 2013 I think?

Your SIC time does not count towards 121 upgrade. 121.436 does not allow to use 135/91k SIC time, doesn't matter what you were flying.
But your 121 time should be enough I believe.

Are they still putting direct entry CAs right in the first classes they can or has that urgency slowed down?
