To be fair, we get paid MUCH less than anything but the lowest level gas station clerk. My next door neighbor is an assistant manager at a QT and his house is twice as big as mine.

I'm not complaining about that too much though, I came here mainly for hours -- not getting those either though, go figure.

Is it okay to come to if I'm thinking about being a cadet? Hoping to get the e-175.

If you’re a cadet then you’ll have the best chance at the heavy.

The previous classes haven't been very beneficial for cadets though. There was that 100% 145 class, and a couple of 100% 175 classes now.
Chances are you'll get the 175 though.

Yes, I would recommend this place if you're coming as a cadet. Do yourself a favor and consider the other options too, though. There is always that 1/100 chance you land on an all 145 class and get screwed regardless.

We had a cadet who wanted the 145. He was disappointed it was a 100% 175 class. Can't please everyone

What’s so wrong with the 145?

The plane itself is fine, you do miss out on having a bathroom upfront, there's no meals, and no chance of first class for deadheads. Not really issues worth inconveniencing yourself with another plane for (assuming you're losing QoL to do so.

The real problems are the schedules, lots of short hops mean 4/5 leg days are common in trips and overtime opportunities are less exciting. It's very common after the 48hr window closes to only see 1-3 hour trips sitting in open time.

IMO the plane is fine, but your mileage may very.

145 goes to the small cities, multiple times a day. There are 145 lines that have you overnight in Waco or Abilene 16-17 nights a month on CDOs. Pays min guarantee, 12 days off.
175 legs on average are longer, and overnights are often in bigger cities. 175 goes to places like Calgary, Montreal and a bunch of Mexican cities most of us have never heard of.

CDOs are gold here! Some of the best QOL you can get here.
