That being said, I think I would exhaust all possibilities before I did a lateral move. Envoy won’t be upgrading low seniority pilots to captain any time soon again and life as an ultra low seniority captain is a special kind of hell, though living in base very slightly tempers it.

Should be able to hold DFW on either the 145 or 175 with either new hire assignment, or if not offered initially on the next bid, which have been every three months. As captain, DFW is most senior, with 175 considerably more so. Look through the vacancy thread for the most recent numbers.

Eh, I do know those who are. Quite honestly they seem happier than at ENY, especially those on the 145.

I will also add that giving up seniority anywhere, short of someplace that is stagnant or shrinking, once you’ve got a line of any kind is really something to consider. Do you really want to go through another initial to sit reserve for another six months or so?

I could see that if they mixed and matched who from which group of which date was in the class. Again, makes it very hard to know where you might stand. Mix that in with an ever changing number of each airframe and you are really rolling the dice, or playing Russian roulette.

2. About 55%-ish on the seniority list currently for 175. I imagine it will trend to 47-50ish eventually and 145 more junior. "How long" is a function of movement of the said seniority list. No flow no newhires - long. Flow and newhires - less long.

It’s 1am and I can’t sleep. Too much going on around here at home and I decided to read this site…
after 20 years in this job let me explain..
ALL REGIONALS SUCK… I was at one for 8.5 years.
it was supposedly a “good one”. It wasn’t until I moved on that I realized it was terrible.
it’s a stepping stone. Hang out and move on. It’s a requirement. I hate the “paying your dues” line but it’s true. Don’t jump around. Put in your time and move on.
