The point is why do I need to meet with the cpo three times in my first year and where does it say I need to do that in the contract? I getting paid for that time or should I do it for free on one of my many mid day sits? Oh wait I can’t do that because the company feels I should be resting during that time to prep for my late might flights. 🙄 What if they ask to meet every other month? How about once a month meeting with the cpo?
Having one interview at the end of probation makes sense and is how it’s always been. I mean they do want to review attendance and performance reviews. I don’t see how three is needed.
If we just bow down like Dera suggests every time the company wants us to do something not in the contract when will it end?
I want to add that I am not encouraging new hires to willfully **** off the cpo or get fired however this crap needs to stop. Contract compliance needs to get involved and get the company to come up with some sort of explanation and or compensation.

FYI, years ago, one used to receive quarterly HI6 messages while on probation requesting one to visit the CPO. Apparently, this stopped for a few years, and at least one CPO is starting to do it again.
It’s really not a big deal at all.

Would you rather be informed of a negative trend in ones performance at smaller intervals giving you the ability to change course or come in for your single probation interview with a bunch of sicks calls, MAs etc and be shown the door?
