If you’re a cadet, you get the 175 unless you want the 145 because you want NY or MIA. The experience between the fleets is still much different.

I used to say there’s a dark side and a light side of coming here depending on the fleet. 175 is the light side, the 145 is the dark side of the coin. HOWEVER, after seeing a few friends get placed in a class with only 145 options, it’s not a polarizing as I once believed.

The 145’s scheduled and QOL can be considered to be worse than the 175, but you will get the same crap as the CRJ200 or 145 anywhere else. 4-5 legs days, but some are 1 Ir 2 leg days as well. I so far have NEVER seen more than 5 leg days for the 145 pilots (if someone believes other wise, post the evidence)

The 175 is typically 2-3 leg days but it is POSSIBLE to get 5 leg days. No big deal. You also fly to “mainline type markets” such as ATL, EWR, etc.

But in my opinion, the 145 pilots have a critical advantage in the ability to upgrade wicked quick with no worry of being displaced. If your on the 175, you will easily learn to play the game and coast your hours to time an upgrade into the 175, especially with the new fleet orders and possibly the pending 20 aircraft from Compass.

Despite the typical same complainers we have on here, it’s not a bad place to work and progress your career into the legacies with the flow in your back pocket.
