And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting, right? And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful." So yeah, that's what he said. "We Have To Take Care Of The Cure That Will Make The Problem Worse No Matter What"https://www.realclearpolitics.com/vi...tter_what.html I agree though, the Trump comments are crazy too. Luckily for every one of his Biden has 10 MORE. |

I guess you didn't read the quote:
An inhaler isn't an injection. Also, I sure wasn't the one to make the statement. |

I read the quote and I am able to see it in context unlike others who are ready to find anything wrong with something he says. I don’t see the big deal.

Because no one has EVER injected the most toxic substance known to man into the human body to treat aging. Who would do such a thing? Or, how about Adriamycin? A toxic drug that will literally damage heart cells, just to fight cancer.
But, hey.... Trump didn't suggest those. He just generalized a disinfectant, which the media generalized that comment even further to come to the conclusion that he meant "people must inject themselves with Clorox to live". Just the media doing what the media does best. Misinformation and opinion fueled by bias. |

So you want to START at the WO as a nine year FO and be off the chart by the time you upgrade to captain. How desperate do you think they are? Remember, the purpose of the flow FROM THE MANAGEMENT PERSPECTIVE is TO STAFF THE WO because it’s cheaper than bringing that flying to mainline. So what you are proposing is that - except for the OTS guys - every guy that flows is going to cost mainline an extra $50 an hour over what a street hire would cost them?
You seriously believe that will fly with management? Really? And that they wouldn’t slow flow to a crawl to save money by hiring as many OTS from non WO regionals and the military as possible? Management exists to make money for the stockholders, not to make their regional feed guys happy. H€//, the existing pilot group wouldn’t allow them to negotiate that deal even if they wanted to - which they don’t - because the pilot group considers it a zero sum game, that any extra money given to flow guys comes out of money that would have otherwise gone to the group as a whole. You couldn’t even get a majority of the mainline pilots who CAME FROM WOs to vote for that deal. |

I first read about this "Trump said to inject chlorine (or whatever disinfectant here)". Then I watched ABC World news show the interaction... he was actually asking someone to the side along the lines of "is that something we can look into". I'll agree with whoever that it's a pretty dumb idea to even think about BUT to characterize his 'question' as a 'statement' is just plane dishonest. OH, and ABC characterized it as a statement several times in commentary... but at least they showed the video.
Trump calling it sarcasm is pretty dumb too. Should have gone with the 'out of context' line. Because it was. The guy just can't stop spewing falsities, even when not necessary. |
Not only is the flow likely to be north of a decade for most people on property, but after the dust has settled from COVID, the status of the flow is likely up in the air when AAG inevitably declares bankruptcy yet again.

As far as I am concerned, the flow is essentially gone and everyone should get that into their minds. There are so many things that will either delay it so long it won't be worth anything, eliminate it altogether through BK or just flat out be to long for people to wait, that it might as well just go away at this point.
We all took the gamble and came to a WO for the flow, primarily, sadly we got burned and it didn't work out. Time to start working on exit plans or come to terms that you will be at this airline, with this management, with this toothless union for at least ten years. As a clarification, I dont blame the union for this, we just dont have any bite in our bark at this level because they know we are all trying to get out and dont want anything on our records. Now that things are more bleak, who knows, people may be willing to roll the dice a little more now. For those that may get lucky and time this just right, great, but that is going to be a very small percentage. AA has sent out their WARN letters as well now, so all of those pilots get hired back before a flow starts up again. At the end of the day, you either need to LOVE this lifestyle enough to come to terms with being a regional pilot for ever, or at least a much longer time than you ever thought, or start working on another career. |
