There isn't that much overlap between the fleets and operators, and Envoy has been taking a lot of the more productive DFW flying from Mesa. I know you are happy with the day trip lines.

AA fleet planning decides who does what. They fill their contractual requirements first before giving flying to the WOs, but there is hardly any conflict of interest between the regional feed providers.
Sooo, you're saying the union is lying to the pilot group?

No, that's not what that email meant.

Yes, the 3rd party providers get their contractual flying filled first, but for example RAH and Envoy aren't competiting for same flying that much. AA is the one who decides what gauge of airframe is needed for what routes. And since RAH doesn't have 76 seaters in DFW, then RAH doesn't get that flying.
Only direct competition in DFW is from Mesa, with some shuffling between Skywest, Mesa and Envoy. And lately Envoy has been getting good flying from those airlines.

It didn't mean regionals get to pick what they fly and then AA just has to sell that many seats.

I feel like this post is accurate however the problem is more evident in our other hubs.

I’m on the fence trying to decide if I go to Envoy(no 1 on my list) or XJT. Mainly because of the TX bases. I was considering envoy also for the flow and the fact that it’s wholly owned by AA. But if the above is true, I might have to go to my no 2 on the list. Thank in advance!
You are going to have to give me some more answers if you want a reliable answer. And remember the answers you get from people on here will vary greatly. Envoy ebbs and flows drastically so each person will have a different experience.

So you want a DFW base? When are you looking to start with Envoy?

If you start soonish then you may be able to log 350-400 you first year. So back in 2017 we had a HUGE hiring wave of FOs and they didn’t fly much. The RTP guys were also starting to come online during that time. It seems like most of those guys that I fly with are about to get the hours to upgrade on this next bid DEC19 or MAR20. There are lots of those guys trying to delay upgrading until they can hold a line in DFW or they are losing hours due to guard duty/ military leave. Once those guys upgrade then I’m guessing/hoping that reserve times will come down and be more predictable.

Abysmal, it’s better for everyone now though. Even us 145 losers.

Ahhhhhh, what.
I just stated the order of flying assignments. Envoy is the pimple an aag *** and were always last, left over flying. Rah has not been in ord for at least 4 years.

NYC smaller than MIA now purely on flying taken over by Republic. 40-something lines down from 120-something. Don’t listen to DFW 175 people about anything but especially other base & equipment flying imo, they might as well be a separate airline.

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

And yes, I want to be DFW-based. And expecting to start within the next couple of months.

*Just to clarify it’s 58 in LGA/JFK for December.*
