You seem to be confirming what i'm mostly after...if i'm lucky and this is just a brief employment opportunity, is DFW (for any carrier) even a possibility in that window (hopefully < 6 months)? If not, what is likely to be the least bitter introductory experience to 121 flying? Think I had a buddy take a good 7-8 months to get to DFW with SKW, can't remember for sure though. Have not submitted to Mesa.
You'd be able to get DFW at skywest, probably within a couple months of your checkride. However, DFW seems to be one of the heaviest-staffed bases we have, and would be on reserve for a very long time. I woulnd't do it unless you lived in the DFW area, and were willing to commute to another SKW base like DTW for a while. At least at this moment in time, I'm about 6 months off of IOE. Have held a line in DTW the whole time, now in PHX and have a line. For comparison's sake, I would just barely be able to hold a line in DFW this month. Skywest is great, but in your situation and location, I think you're on the right track with your goals and the advice of others.

SOLID possibility.

However my direct connection in recruitment has said that we are solid in FO’s, when I asked for specifics she wouldn’t say so idk how good it is but we are having solid class sizes by the looks of it over the past 3 classes

Oh I believe that 100%, I was more pointing out this persons over the top love affair with all that is AA. Its the same derogatory tone that cr7 used.

Anyway, I am happy we are hiring a lot, or at least what training can handle as that allows movement and movement equals flow.

It's disappointing to see you've become so jaded against the company. What exactly have they done to you specifically? As you can see, I am still here. I don't personally know this other poster that you associate with me however he has some very good points.

And yes, you are correct. More movement equals more flow.

The flow has already been throttled. And the reality seems to be Envoy is expecting significant non-flow attrition. They won’t say that but that’s the only voodoo math that makes their advertising of a sub-six year flow work.

My point is that more movement equals more movement. That movement is from other attrition. The only thing that equals more flow is more flow.

Envoy has a problem with captain staffing. That is not conducive to more flow. They need to hire and upgrade a lot more to account for the attrition.

Cyio never said "more" flow.

True, Cyio did not, but the troll certainly jumped all over it.

But I still stand by my statement that movement is not the same as flow. Flow does create movement but not the other way around.

I am not jaded against the company and in fact responded to your alter ego about it a couple pages back. The poster I was responding to continually bashes peoples decisions to go someplace like Spirit and that was what I was referencing. Anyway, you two would make great friends if you are not in fact the same person.

Cyio never said "more" flow.
Correct. My intention was that it wouldn't be "less" flow.

If you are referencing the contractually negotiated slowing in flow, then yes it is being metered. The company could send more than required, not that I find it very likely, but they could. To your other point, I agree, more flow is more flow, not just movement. However once this next group goes, the flow is based on pilots on property etc etc, thus more movement means more new hires, hopefully equaling the flow continuing.

True, Cyio did not, but the troll certainly jumped all over it.

But I still stand by my statement that movement is not the same as flow. Flow does create movement but not the other way around.
Agreed, but movement does allow the flow to continue at the best rate.
