FYI, that flying was given away because Mesa refused to let AAG not pay them for last second canceled flights because of low bookings, because the pilots are pay protected for cancellations. What’s your next doozy? Mesa is the premier regional airline in the United States? |

envoy is far from the best. The only good things we really have are commuter hotels, Captain pay upon bid award, and unrestricted overtime.

Additionally, the 5 hours of pay for a voluntary seat lock is in the contract. The company cancelled everyone’s seat lock a few months back negating the 5 hours of pay everyone was receiving. Anyone who was displaced requiring training on the last bid would have been able to select a voluntary seat lock for pay.

I believe you have to have been displaced to a captain position to volunteer for seat lock.

No regional airline is premier. Envoy has a chip to let down. Period. Fellow Envoiers...... MESA AIRLINE earned a profit last quarter. Take that FWIIW. They are more likely to survive a Bankruptcy or down turn than Envoy Air. https://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/...q2-profit.html Also be careful which carrier you guys talk shippp about. May need to ask a pilot known there for a recommendation one day. Small changing industry. |
Everybody mocks Mesa, it’s just a meme. I mean, I didn’t used to until they denied me a jumpseat to Dallas last summer, no reason given. You could say they’re asking for it.

That’s interesting, if I had to take a WAG I’d say it would have been O2 levels because there really isn’t much difference between a full bottle and the 3 crew member minimum with the 900. And with some of them approaching 20 years old now they do tend to lose 02 pressure over the course of a couple days. Either way it’s pretty BS they wouldn’t let you know why, but with some of our jaded PHX CA’s I can’t say I’m really surprised. Sorry that happened to you man, did you say anything to your jumpseat committee at all? If you didn’t then we really have no way of telling you what actually happened or “correcting” this CA if it was something that should have never happened.

The only thing Envoy really had going for it above Mesa was the flow. In hindsight I wish I would have gone with Mesa, at least I wouldn't have to commute.

IMHO, you shouldn't be gambling or buying stocks. You'd fold if somebody sneezed. Stayyy safe. |

This is hands down THE most ridiculous statement ever. Dude, you are scared of the virus for one and "hindsight" tells you to go to MESA. Just about if not, the bottom of the regional FFD carriers. When you flow are you going to commute or move to base? Why not move to base now?

Supposedly, their management is pursuing permanent concessions, and will not entertain temporary relief as offered by their MEC (what was proposed there, I do not know), per a buddy there. We all remember what happened around AIP time last year, and in 2014, so take that for what it's worth.

One of their MEC’s updates was floating around last week and it pretty much said that they aren’t willing to give concessions. The asks that management had were far too high and just not doable in any way.

Anyone in the know care to message me, or just post here if able, if we can plan on having another round of cancelations in September like we did August? My hunch is yes, but just wanted to confirm.
|
I’m certainly not in the know, but air portal shows an F1 for September that came out after the bid packets. Looked to be 15-20% fewer flights. I didn’t look at all categories so that’s not a one size fits all answer.
