It’s just gonna suck for anyone holding a junior spot

That was the initial plan. They got it changed at the last minute.

I guess it depends on how senior you are.

These are full time lines on a part time footprint/block. This is tantamount to paying pilots who are senior enough to hold one of these lines a cash bonus. I am sure the MEC is fine with that, My disbelief is that the company would do it.

I just did a cursory read through of the contract and didn't see any glaring issues. What exactly would make this illegal for them to do? I could be wrong but I didn't see anything.

Again, to each their own, but if I lived in base I would be bidding reserve to help commuters. Again, so people don't jump down my throat, I totally would understand why someone wouldn't do that as well.

you prob would not.. some of these 4 day trips are 20+ hours... if you have 19 days off I’ll take a wild guess you’ll help yourself.

I'm sure it's legal for them to just give us free money. I think the contract dispute, if anything, is going to come from everyone who took the CSLOA getting buyers remorse.

Yeah well, its not like people didn't scream it was a bad idea. I don't want to start down that argument path again so won't say much more on it. However, the reason for everyone to be OK with that deal was that it was free and was good for some people, so what has changed? Even still, this line building will only benefit the first 60 or so pilots, at least for ORD, so if you couldn't hold one of these lines the 19 hours may still be a good thing if you don't want to commute/sit reserve, again assuming it was good for you initially.

I think you think I want to take away people's money. Absolutely not. If I get my way, everyone sits at home with pay.

I just can't believe it, and I'm waiting for the "finalized bid packet" shoe to drop or something.
