Plenty of RTP guys would go back to helo’s on a lot more money and wait it out. Either way, I am glad that the company is offering this, even though it is in the contract, as even one person taking it is one less furlough. I think this deal will only work well for those that already have a side gig they can live off of, or could live off of should they have the time to do it full time, people with another professional skill set or those that have a spouse who can carry they weight for a few years.

You could have 2 kids in 5 years and put a lot of raising on them, then maybe even come back as an AA pilot depending on when you were hired here.
Can you imagine not flying for 5 years though? |
