I just think it’s polite and a professional courtesy to show that respect for anyone at ANY airline. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, you have been doing it wrong :). Imagine if every employee non-revving did that? Just because we are pilots non-revving, it doesn’t make us special (much to many pilots dismay).

Oh come on you snow flakes. We all know what he is talking about. It’s not a mystery that many people here at Envoy and across the regionals regarded MESA is a sub par regional.

Regardless of what we think of your airline, I am confident most of our pilots work just as hard at getting you home and to work. I know constantly work with the load room and dispatch to get commuters on. We are all in this together.

For whatever it’s worth, I love my Mesa bros. Except that one captain that denied me a jumpseat for no reason, but I’ll always have professional courtesy for union pilots by default and regardless of any misunderstandings, 99% of my Envoy colleagues feel the same way.

If you’re checking in as a nonrev, you might as well tell them what aircraft you’re typed in too...”put me in coach,I’m ready to go!”

“I’ll be in the exit row if you need me”

The funny thing is, once you move on to a major/legacy, no one gives a sh!t what regional you flew for. ‘Get your time and get out’ can’t be stressed enough.

Someone needs to be there to verify the crew started both engines prior to takeoff.

Best advice in the entire thread.

I’m more curious as to what is the stigma that is being defied?

Envoy has the stigma of being cocky, for absolutely no reason. They also have a stigma of sliding airplanes off of runways in the Bahamas.

Being a "top tier" regional is like a top tier porta-john. Either way, you are pooping in a bucket, it smells terrible, and you can't wait to get out of it.

OK. Maybe you should go and start a thread about that. OP already explained what he meant and it wasn't that.
