They're in a bad position. If they come out and talk about it while making visible changes then they are admitting that there is an issue. Lord knows that AH and RW don't want to lose face and have a negative light brought on them.

we have one captain who loves deicing, he's been the only flight in the system that deiced on a given day more than once, and MR has talked to him about it.

Let’s hope you’re right. I made a post in one of the other threads questioning where they might come from. There’s just not a whole lot of them out there. While probably better than any 145 in the system, even with new paint and interior, I hope any of these 170s aren’t just lipstick on a pig.
