Envoy Pilot Errors brings FAA stern warning

I just think it’s funny that a direct entry captain is thinking his turds don’t stink. I wonder what makes his 1000 hours of sic time better than the riddle kids 1000 hours at envoy. I’m not an envoy guy but it seems like all the DEC we had left their past company for reason. It seems like most of the DEC failed out of upgrade training somewhere else and want a fresh start. They have the same 1000 hours as the person who has been there the whole time, they just think they are better because they can’t hold down a job elsewhere.

I am guessing a lot of you know this (I did not, and just learned it recently during my winter ops LOFT), but the breaking action on the ATIS is often not the most recent FICON report. Dispatch (often) has the ability to get even more recent breaking action reports.
It was not known why the ATIS publishes (often) old FICON reports, but that was news to me.

I understand there are tons of great DECs bouncing around, my point wasn’t they are all bad, but rather they are no worse in terms of experience than a person who has 1000 hours at the same airline they are upgrading at. It was directed towards the guys who think they are better than the person upgrading and staying at one airline

There’s also plenty of dunces that flew 1000 hours at envoy and the upgraded.
