Pay

No, it was 11 before the PBS concessions. Also, I disagree on the snapback. Sure there are a lot of pilots wiling to fly for the lower rates, but that will take time to train them and get them on the line. Meanwhile, you'll have a mass exodus of pilots, especially with families, that won't sit back and take a 50% pay cut with a smile on their face, especially when, at worst, you can go to a non-affiliated regional with longevity pay, and not be blocked from being hired due to being at a WO.
did that change?
Mass exodus to where? Why aren't you going now then? Those other regionals will stop hiring when AA announces pulling the flying back into ENY, PSA and PDT. That's how the whipsaw works.

of all three AA WO, only the Envoy CEO is also an executive officer of AAG. The other two are expendable.

that's my honest opinion from having lived it and being on the ALPA national BOD at the time. Our MEC worked exceptionally closely with the APA during that period. Closer than ever before. If it didn't happen then, it's never going to.

that regional you spoke of was about 500 pilots at the time, and Glass offered them the exact same flow Envoy had. It meant their entire MEC would flow within 1 year of signing. Their entire company would flow in under 4 years. The added aircraft would upgrade every FO on property. They got bought. the APA bought bought for scope a few times IIRC. It happens.
Today that airline has over 1850 pilots. Every one of them flowed long before Eagle/Envoy pilots who'd been at AMR/AAG since 2006.

Such a killjoy. Assuming you're ONLY interested in American network flying, ok. There are other regionals that aren't aligned with American, and they have nothing to do with their flying coming back "in house". Second, it doesn't have to be a regional. Corporate or any 135/91 flying will always be there. Pilots aren't just going to take a huge paycut, especially with families, and say "Oh well, that's just how it goes". I guess we'll just see how your prediction ages from here on.

Getting ready to start with Envoy and looking forward to it. Anyone have any info on typical monthly credit hours? I know the minimum pay is 75 for reserve. And how easy is it to pick up extra trips? I know that info will probably change a bit once PBS officially rolls out.

DFW 69:57 hrs
ORD 73:15 hrs
MIA 69:25 hrs
PHX 70:21 hrs
There is an automated system for viewing and picking up overtime. The best trips go quickly. There is usually something available but it may not work for your availability, day trips go fast and 4-day trips get picked apart slowly. You must adhere to FAA legality requirements such as 30 hours off in a 7-day period and a minimum of 10 hours off between duty periods.
Last minute OT can be obtained by calling crew scheduling and can also be appropriated from reserves on your day off. The system will not let you bring yourself below 8 days off for the month. Pilots who live in base find it easier to pick up overtime than commuters do. DFW and ORD have the most open flying but the best trips go quickly.

They are hiring because they aren't at the staffing levels they want. The extra pay will go away when they can keep filling classes without it which will happen around the same time the other regionals drop theirs and hiring at better paying jobs slows down.
The beginning of this thread was about getting the contractual rates as high as possible before the music stops. That remains the best strategy.

Minimum guarantee for a line holder is 72 hours, reserve is 75 hours. ALPA says the average line value for August in the different bases is:
DFW 69:57 hrs
ORD 73:15 hrs
MIA 69:25 hrs
PHX 70:21 hrs

Then go into mobile CCI and refresh open time obsessively looking at all the juicy trips available. Then answer the phone and take the DFW - Waco Turn.

I kid. I am able to pick up about 25 hours OT a month just putting myself on the list during my DFP days.
Do the HIHP thing in mobile FOS and just put in a crazy date first and it will come back and tell you what the valid date rage is.
Then do it again with the valid date range and expect phone calls offering trips. And they will call you at 4:00 am. The good news is you don't have to answer.
example: HIHP/12DEC/18DEC
You have to keep at least 8 DFP days a month so if you have 12, you can burn through 4 of them using OT. So choose trips wisely.
CS will just call you and say I have some trips for you and rattle them off to you and you can say no or pick the one you want.
Sometimes they will call and Just say "I see you are on the OT list, is there anything in open time you want?" That's the best.
It gets less confusing over time. I have learned a lot from just asking captains during a sequence. They are happy to give you the trips, tricks, and cheat codes for all of this.
