and what about medical and dental whats bad about it how much would someone pay for me my wife and child?
|
Hello all, I'm wondering if 1500 is required to be in the logbook on day 1 of a class date, or is it a normal practice to start class with say 1475 assuming sim time for the type rating? My ATP written is complete and I'm in the mid 1300 range tt. Thanks

This is as much spin as anything. To say with certainty, that every present Envoy pilot will be at AA who wants to be within 5 years is patently absurd.
Age 67 won't change that too much. With 20-2100 pilots-300 that are not leaving Eagle=1800. Flowing 20-30 a month for five years is X pilots. The monthly number will drop as the airline get's smaller of course but still a lot flowing. Five years from now hiring by the big three will be in full force. Many will get hired elsewhere so 5 years may or may not happen but I wouldn't say it's "absurd". Most attrition is from FOs leaving and that's only going to accelerate. |

Somehow it seems like I'm paying more at AA although max out of pockets are lower at AA. I think my yearly deductible at Eagle was 2K but they have different plans with choices. |

Is it true all new hires will upgrade to captain in 2.5 years and flow to American in 6 years? What is the upgrade time now? 8 years? 9?
How is your quality of life? Your schedules have lots of days off? Do you have an industry leading reserve system? Basically I wouldn't count on it but realize the future 10 years will be much better than the last. |

Envoy is a good place to work. The problem is that there are some guys/gals (example Eaglefly) that doesn't fly here and believes they know everything happens on the company.
It's being like that since, forever...it will never change. Other than that...envoy crews are great, planes are well maintained and we have the same benefits than AA employees. |

And yet, here you are, day after day, on the lowly regional pilot forum bad mouthing the company that paid your bills for almost 20 years and your former coworkers.
You must have a pretty sad personal life to have to come here to make yourself feel like a big person. For that reason, I speculate that you are still in hell, each day, because your personal life must be one of self loathing, a personal hell. eaglefly, you really are a sad man. I'm not bad-mouthing my old airline (American Eagle, Inc.) which no longer exists, either in name or spirit, but being critical of the ethically bankrupt characters attempting to swindle others to enrich themselves. That includes not only some the hucksters here ;), but the long sad list of the union story there, especially since I left that arguably includes IMO, rampant recklessness, gross irresponsibility and even corruption like "snack-gate". It's all indicative of an airline that again, IMO is a house of cards and for new pilots a serious gamble as not only does no one appear to want to correct these problems, but double down on them..........well, at least long enough to do unto others and then split. In fact, the latest gem I've heard is that a bunch of senior pilots who declined to flow under Letter 3 now want to cut in the 824 line in front of others with special treatment and that your union is considering it. If true, I can only wince once again............ Yes.........sad, sad, sad, I am. Disgusted too. |

I'm not trying to create more drama in these forum but why is there. So much immaturity here. Some of us who actually want to join the ranks of envoy come here searching for info but and keep up with the company we want to work for, but everytime I open some thing about envoy is always fighting and arguing. Is kinda sad.
I'm sure that will be a sobering experience and quite enlightening. In fact, if you do that, I think you'll find the reality of the Envoy pilot existence quite disturbing. $5 isn't too much money for proper due diligence to vet a potential company you are considering working for. Caveat Emptor. |
